Jimmy Nielsen - Goalkeeper

Danish import Nielsen is proving to be an outstanding pickup for the Wizards. He has yet to concede a goal and against the Rapids, made a superb point-blank stop from an Omar Cummings' shot.

Chad Marshall - Defender

The reigning defender of the year was back in action for the Crew against FC Dallas.

Wilman Conde - Defender

The Fire is off to a poor start with lots of new faces yet to gell, but holdover Conde (left) continues to impress.

Jason Hernandez - Defender

Hernandez helped solidify the Earthquakes' back line in their win against Chicago.

Roger Espinoza - Defender

The Honduras international has been converted to left back and is starting to look the part for the Wizards.

Sacha Kljestan - Midfielder

Kljestan showed signs of returning to his old self in a lively display against the Red Bulls.

Sebastien Le Toux - Forward

Plucked from the Sounders in the expansion draft, Le Toux not only scored the first goals in the Union's history, he also scored the first hat trick too.

Zack Schilawski - Forward

Schilawski, a rookie from Wake Forest, proved that all the preseason hype was justified with three goals against Toronto.

Edson Buddle - Forward

Edson Buddle staked his claim for the World Cup with his MLS-leading fourth and fifth goals of the season against Houston.
