Jose "Gringo" Torres is back on the field and back and amongst the goals for Mexican side Tigres.

The American midfielder missed Tigres' Liga MX opener (a 3-0 loss to América) due to a muscle problem and was an unused sub in their second game, a 0-0 draw with Pachuca. Torres was given the start in Tigres' Copa MX game at second-tier Atlético San Luis, and he didn't waste much time making an impact, taking advantage of a poor clearance by a San Luis defender to score this relatively uncontested goal in the 7th minute:

That goal turned out to be all that was needed for Tigres, who won that game 1-0 after violence among fans delayed the start of the second half.
