Borussia Mönchengladbach keeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen's own goal is pretty sad

Lately, things have been going very well for Borussia Mönchengladbach's Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Sure, his team sits seventh in the Bundesliga standings, but the German keeper has been linked to La Liga giants Barcelona as the heir apparent to Victor Valdes in goal. German newspaper Bild has gone as far to report that the 21-year-old ter Stegen has already signed a five-year deal with Barcelona and passed a physical.

It's understandable, then, that ter Stegen may have had other things on his mind as Borussia took on Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday. At least, that would explain the goal he allowed in the 52nd minute, which ... well, just watch for yourself below.

That goal cost Borussia the win, as it drew 1-1 with Eintracht.

Amazingly enough, this isn't the first time ter Stegen has managed an own goal of this level of ineptitude. The same thing happened to him during a USA-Germany friendly back in June 2013, when ter Stegen whiffed on a backpass from defender Benedikt Howedes and let the ball trickle into goal.
