It's been quite a day for United States hopefuls trying to make head coach Jürgen Klinsmann's 30-man preliminary World Cup roster. Left-footed winger Brad Davis capped an eventful Saturday for Americans around the globe by scoring for the Houston Dynamo.

Houston's captain scored the equalizer for his team in the 12th minute against Chivas USA, fending off two defenders before putting home a shot to the back post. After receiving the ball at the top of the penalty area, Davis dribbled through pressure across the line before side-footing it across his body and into the goal.
