West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison was in a Manchester court Thursday on charges he threatened his girlfriend with acts of violence, according to The Guardian.

Morrison was arrested in late July and charged with two counts of common assault for allegedly "punching and slapping" his ex-girlfriend and her mother. The court added a harassment charge which alleges Morrison "threatened to throw acid in [his ex-girlfriend's] face, blow up her house and have her killed and other threats of violence," the Guardian reports.

The alleged incident took place in Salford, outside Manchester. Under the terms of Morrison's bail, he is not allowed to contact his ex-girlfriend or her mother, and may not enter the Greater Manchester area other than for court appearances, meetings with his lawyers or West Ham matches.

Morrison, 21, concluded last season on loan with Queens Park Rangers. He has made four appearances for England's U21 team.
