Watch: Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale team for super goal in Super Cup
Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale have picked up exactly where they left off at the end of the 2013-14 club season.
The Real Madrid superstars combined for a superb goal in the UEFA Super Cup – the match pitting the reigning Champions League and Europa League winners against one another – to put Los Blancos ahead of fellow Spanish side Sevilla on Tuesday. The match also marked the official Real Madrid debuts for new blockbuster signings James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos, but it was the returning stars who worked together to get on the board.
Bale, with the match taking place in his native Wales, took a pass from James and put an inch-perfect cross from the left into Ronaldo's path by the far post. The reigning FIFA Ballon d'Or winner made no mistake, one-timing home for the opener with his outstretched right foot despite awkwardly landing on his left knee, which was at the center of much injury news during the World Cup.

Ronaldo tacked on a second just minutes into the second half, taking a pass from Karim Benzema and then rifling a laser off the hands and by countryman Beto to double Real Madrid's lead.
Scoring on Sevilla is nothing new for Ronaldo, who entered the day with 16 goals in 10 career games against the domestic foe.
