Spain striker Diego Costa is out for the team's Euro 2016 qualifier against Macedonia on Monday, the Spanish football federation announced Friday.

To replace Costa, Munir El Haddadi, a striker for Barcelona B, was added to the team's roster.

Costa, 25, has earned five caps for Spain after switching his national team allegiance from Brazil last year. He started two of Spain's three games in this summer's FIFA World Cup.

Costa has scored four goals in three games so far in his first season for Chelsea after arriving from Atletico Madrid in the offseason.
