Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge to miss three weeks with thigh strain

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will miss three weeks with a strained thigh, manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed.
Sturridge injured his thigh last week while training with England and missed the team's Euro 2016 qualifying win against Switzerland.

Rodgers said the injury could have been prevented if England did a better job of resting Sturridge. While at Liverpool, Sturridge gets two recovery days following each match, but only had one while with England.
“I think clubs work differently at times to international teams. It’s more the recovery strategy.
“When we look at our players here we look at them individually in terms of what their needs are. Fast players would have a second day recovery while other players can work on that day. When you are that type of player like Daniel Sturridge, Raheem Sterling and boys like Danny Welbeck you need to recover them.”
Rodgers also said that Sturridge's injury "could have been prevented."
If his recovery matches the timeline, he would be able to return for England's qualifying matches in early October.
