Crystal Palace hangs on for win vs. Everton at Goodison Park
LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Crystal Palace came from behind to cling on for its first Premier League win of the season on Sunday, beating Everton 3-2 at Goodison Park.
Winger Yannick Bolasie was instrumental in his side's surging second-half performance which he capped with the Eagles' final goal in the 69th minute.
Romelu Lukaku had given Everton a ninth-minute lead, but Mile Jedinak equalized from the spot and Fraizer Campbell took advantage of an error by Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard to change the game's course.
Bolasie's display sealed another fine day for Palace in the blue half of Merseyside after a 3-2 win in April eased relegation fears — despite a nervous finale Sunday after Leighton Baines' late penalty reduced the deficit.
Lukaku and Phil Jagielka both came close in a frantic finale.
