Orlando City will be injecting its trademark purple into MLS' color palette next season. 

The 2015 expansion club is revealing its home jersey Wednesday in Orlando at the campus of its jersey sponsor, Orlando Health, the next step in its journey to North American soccer's top flight from USL Pro. 

The all-purple look, which is featured above, includes dark horizontal lines down the front, with the new Orlando City crest displayed over the heart and the new MLS logo displayed on the sleeve along with three white stripes for jersey maker adidas. On the inside of the jersey, also over the heart, is the club's old crest. On the inside of the neck tape "This is Orlando" is inscribed, while the neck line itself has gold trim.

“We worked very closely with adidas during the design process of our first-ever MLS home kit, as we want the jersey to have a simple and classic look that accurately represents our brand and prominently displays our long-time partners Orlando Health,” Orlando City founder and president Phil Rawlins said in a statement. “We are very proud of the end result, and we can’t wait to see our team take the field next year.”

Purple will be new to MLS, but other notable clubs in the world donning the color include: Saprissa (Costa Rica), Fiorentina (Italy), Real Valladolid (Spain), Anderlecht (Belgium), Maribor (Slovenia), Toulouse (France), Austria Wien (Austria), Defensor Sporting (Uruguay), Sanfrecce Hiroshima (Japan) and Perth Glory (Australia).

Orlando City's MLS roster is currently at nine players – Kaka, Kevin Molino, Tommy Redding, Tyler Turner, Darwin Ceren, Luke Boden, Harrison Heath, Rafael Ramos, Estrela – and will grow in the coming weeks.

MLS has yet to officially indicate whether Orlando City will definitely participate in Chivas USA's dispersal draft, but the MLS expansion draft is slated for Dec. 10, and the Lions have the first pick. Once the 2014 MLS season ends, Orlando City will ascend to the second spot in the MLS allocation order, and the club will also pick first in January's MLS SuperDraft.
