Mexico and the Netherlands will meet in Amsterdam Wednesday in a rematch of their round of 16 World Cup clash, and it's safe to say the CONCACAF side hasn't quite gotten over how it lost.

Vela, Tevez, crucial qualifiers headline 2014's last international window

In the waning moments of a game that looked destined for extra time, Arjen Robben drew a penalty on Rafa Marquez, appearing to trip over his foot at the end line. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar converted the penalty kick, and the Netherlands went on to the quarterfinals, sending Miguel Herrera's side out in heartbreaking fashion. The Dutch dispatched another CONCACAF side, Costa Rica, before falling to Argentina in the semifinals.

Mexico, meanwhile, has moved forward in the sense that older players like Marquez and Carlos Salcido have been phased out, while Carlos Vela has returned (and is slated to start Wednesday) after a three-year hiatus.

But El Tri made sure to send out a reminder that, 136 days later, there's still some angst over how the World Cup knockout match played out:

For the non-Spanish speakers: "It wasn't a penalty."
