Barcelona could incorporate Qatar Airways into stadium name
Barcelona's Camp Nou stadium could be getting a bit of a name change in the near future, with the addition of sponsor Qatar Airways to the name, according to The Guardian.
Qatar Airways CEO Akbar al-Baker recently broke the news of the potential change while talking about the company's new sponsorship with the Spanish club.
“Everything is a possibility for our company, we’re open to surprises and one of these could be connected to the name of Camp Nou. Qatar Airways and Barcelona have the same values. It is possible that our name is added to Camp Nou.”

Because of the ongoing political issues in Qatar, there has been some doubt as to whether or not the sponsorship deal between the two would continue. Barcelona vice president Javier Faus, however, alluded to it being an easy decision to continue the relationship with Qatar Airways, making the stadium name change all the more likely.
“We need a new sponsor, we have zero problems with Qatar, so it will be a quick decision,” he said.
Led by Lionel Messi's 22 goals, Barcelona is 16-2-3 on the season and in second place in La Liga behind Real Madrid.
Barcelona plays at Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
