Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey could miss up to a month of action after injuring his hamstring in Tuesday’s match against Leicester, reportsThe Guardian.

Arsenal forward Alexis Sánchez was also injured in the match but escaped serious injury after being tackled by Leicester City defender Matthew Upson in the 29th minute of the 2-1 Arsenal victory. He had missed the previous two matches with a hamstring injury.

Ramsey played only nine minutes as a substitute against Leicester before suffering his third hamstring injury this season. He has missed over two months of action because of the injuries.

“It doesn’t look good when a guy stops straight away and sits down,” Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said of Ramsey. “I left him out [of the starting lineup] to be cautious with him. I put him on and it was not the best of decisions."

He is expected to miss at least the squad’s next three matches: Premier League matches against against Middlesbrough on Sunday, Crystal Palace on Feb. 21 and a Feb. 25 Champions League match against AS Monaco.

Ramsey has six goals and four assists in 23 total matches this season with Arsenal, which currently sits in fourth place in the Premier League with 45 points.
