Barcleona jumped to first place in La Liga Saturday thanks to a 6-1 win over Rayo Vallecano that was underpinned by three quick, record-setting goals from Lionel Messi.

The goals, coming in the 56th, 63rd and 68th minutes of competition, formed the 32nd of Messi's career.

That mark is good enough for the most hat tricks at any level of professional Spanish soccer.
