Oxlade-Chamberlain had recently returned from an unrelated groin injury. He injured the hamstring during Arsenal's 2-1 FA Cup win over Manchester United on Monday. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger offered a four-week maximum return timetable.

England is set to play Lithuania in a Euro qualifier on March 27, and a friendly with Italy four days later.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored three times for Arsenal across all competitions this season.
