O’Reilly was the second-youngest player to make 200 appearances for the U.S. and has been an active member of the team since 2002. She broke the fibula in her left leg during a friendly against Ireland in 2003, but she returned to make the Olympic squad a year later and score the game-winning goal in the semifinals against Germany. She was named U.S. Soccer’s Young Female Athlete of the Year for her efforts.

O’Reilly was also part of the gold medal-winning 2008 and 2012 Olympics teams and she played in the 2007 and 2011 World Cups.
