Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos diagnosed with dislocated shoulder
MADRID (AP) — Real Madrid says defender Sergio Ramos dislocated a joint in his left shoulder in the Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk.
The club said tests on Wednesday confirmed the injury, but did not say how long the defender is expected to be sidelined. Ramos is likely to miss at least the Spanish league match against Granada on Saturday.
Ramos was hurt on Tuesday after falling hard following a sliding tackle by Shakhtar defender Taras Stepanenko, who was sent off.
Ramos returned to the game after being attended by doctors, but later had to be substituted.
Real Madrid also lost striker Gareth Bale in the first half with an apparent muscle injury in his left leg, and defender Raphael Varane at halftime because of a knock to his ankle.
