Watch: Fabian Johnson free kick gives U.S. lead over St. Vincent
After an early scare, the United States took a 2-1 lead over St. Vincent & The Grenadines thanks to a free kick goal from Fabian Johnson.
Johnson, who was sent home from the last U.S. national team camp after head coach Jurgen Klinsmann was unsatisfied with the players' request to be substituted near the end of the team's CONCACAF Cup loss to Mexico, aimed his freekick intending it to go over the wall. However, the ball took a nasty deflection off a St. Vincent defender, leaving the goalkeeper stranded as it went over hte line and into the back of the net.
The goal is Johnson's second for the United States.
