Chelsea will play Real Madrid in an International Champions Cup game on July 30 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, the university announced.

Michigan Stadium previously hosted an exhibition game between Manchester United and Real Madrid that drew 109,318 people in attendance, which is a record for a soccer game on U.S. soil.

"We look forward to passing that number in July of this year," Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel told reporters on Thursday. “It's an exciting opportunity for our community and soccer fans everywhere.”
