Watch: Luis Gil gives USA early lead in Olympic playoff

The U.S. couldn't have asked for a better start to its Olympic qualifying playoff series against Colombia.
After ceding possession for the first few minutes, the U.S. made good on its first foray forward, with Luis Gil scoring in the fifth minute to give the U.S. a key away goal and an early 1-0 lead in Barranquilla.
Mario Rodriguez set Gil up by dribbling down the right channel before getting to the endline. He cut back a cross to the center of the box, where an unmarked Gil hit a first-time, low effort into the far corner.
