This summer’s Copa America Centenario will mark Lionel Messi’s competitive international debut in the United States. For the first time, Americans will get to see Messi play for his country with a trophy on the line.
Ahead of the competition, Messi penned a first–person essay, as told to Sports Illustrated's Grant Wahl, in this week's issue of SI.
Messi has played in the U.S. before for Argentina and has scored seven goals, though they all came in friendly matches. Watch them all below.
