Belgium and Italy are two of Europe's preeminent squads, and they meet to open Euro 2016 play in Group E.

Belgium reached the quarterfinals of the 2014 World Cup and is in the midst of a golden generation of talent, one that includes Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois. Italy, meanwhile, is as dogged defensively as ever, with ageless goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon back in goal 10 years after helping the Azzurri win the World Cup.
