UFC star Conor McGregor recorded a video to pump up Republic or Ireland national team supporters at Euro 2016.

“These young pups you are going up against were still in their nappies when you were knee deep in the trenches, fighting for every single ball,” McGregor says in the video. “Fighting for every, single second of every single game. It's time to show these young boys this is man's work now.”

Ireland has one of the oldest teams and most experienced teams in the tournament. The team played Sweden to a 1–1 draw in its first match of the tournament on Monday.

McGrgeor will fight Nate Diaz at UFC 202 on Aug. 20. McGregor, the current UFC featherweight champion, lost his first meeting with Diaz at UFC 196 by second-round submission.
