LA Galaxy resorted to some sneaky tactics in extra time on Tuesday to beat La Máquina, an amateur club competing in the U.S. Open Cup.
After LA Galaxy received a red card early on in the match, resulting in the team playing a man down, they found themselves level in extra time against a fifth–division team. In order to regain the lead, LA Galaxy scored while distracted La Máquina players were huddled around Jose Villarreal, who was in pain on the ground.
The Galaxy ended up winning the match 4–1.
