Gareth Bale did a lot of talking in the build-up to Wales's Euro 2016 clash with border rival England, and he backed it up with one long-range free kick.

Bale curled a knuckling, 35-yard free-kick blast around the wall and by England goalkeeper Joe Hart to open the scoring in their Group B matchup. Bale, who scored off a free kick against Slovakia as well, had spoken plenty in the days leading into the match and ruffled feathers on the England side. He did so even more on the field with his effort, which hit off Hart's hands as he dove toward the left post. England goalkeepers are known for making gaffes in major tournaments, and why this is not on the level of some of those past efforts, Hart will certainly think he should've done better to keep this out.

The celebrations didn't last for the duration of the match. Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge scored to give England a 2-1 win.
