Leicester City star Jamie Vardy plans to turn down an offer from Arsenal to stay with the 2016 Premier League champions, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said.

Arsenal reportedly made a bid of around $28 million for Vardy, offering him a contract that would pay about $170,000 a week.

Leicester countered with an offer of about $140,000.

When asked about the Premier League’s breakout star, Wegner said that signs point to him staying in Leicester.

“Jamie Vardy is, at the moment, at Leicester and from what I know, he will stay at Leicester,” said during an interview on Chinese television
