How to watch Real Madrid vs. Real Sociedad.

Real Madrid and Real Sociedad meet Sunday as La Liga opens 2016–17 play.

Madrid finished second last season to Barcelona and begins another quest to unseat its rivals with a match against Sociedad, which finished ninth in the league in 2015–16.

The favorite will be without Karim Benzema, who continues his recovery from a hip injury, in addition to Luka Modric, Keylor Navas and star forward Cristiano Ronaldo. Gareth Bale will lead the team after a strong Euro showing for Wales.

Real Madrid has won the Champions League two of the last three seasons, but hasn't won La Liga since 2011-12.
