Watch: Juventus wins record sixth straight Serie A title
Juventus is two-thirds of the way to clinching a treble after clinching a sixth straight Serie A title with a 3-0 win over Crotone in Turin on Sunday.
After Napoli and Roma both won on Saturday to stay mathematically alive in the Serie A race, the pressure shifted to Juventus to defeat its relegation-threatened opponent and put the final touches on the Scudetto quest.
After defeating Lazio in the Coppa Italia final this past week and now the league title, Juve could cement its treble status with a win in the Champions League final over Real Madrid on June 3. The only other Italian team to capture the treble was Inter Milan, doing so under Jose Mourinho's watch in 2010.
Mario Manduzkic got Juventus started on the right foot with his left foot Sunday, scoring in the 13th minute off a bounding, early cross from the right to ward off any potential nerves or doubt.
Paulo Dybala doubled the lead just before halftime, making it 2-0 in the 39th minute by curling in a stunning free kick from 20 yards with his left foot.
With the game and title well in hand, Alex Sandro piled on, with the wingback adding insurance with an 83rd-minute goal to make it 3-0 with a header that just crossed the goal line.
With the final whistle, Juve further cemented its dominance in Italy, reaching unprecedented heights for domestic success.
Juventus has one league game remaining next weekend, while Roma and Napoli will battle for second and third–with the former avoiding the Champions League play-in round.
