Crystal Palace Star Takes to Social Media to Call Out 'Racist' Man Utd and Liverpool Fans
Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has accused Manchester United and Liverpool fans of racism, via Instagram Stories.
The Ivorian winger is currently with the Eagles on their pre-season tour of Asia, but has told of the abuse he is receiving online.
He said: "If Man United and Liverpool fans feel better by calling me a black monkey in my messages .. feel free to carry on if it makes your day better."
Zaha opted not to go into the matter further, and it remains unclear as to why he is receiving said abuse, and he has since deleted the post.
The 24-year-old played for United between 2013-15 and represented Alex Ferguson's final signing before retiring - he was the Scot's parting gift to the incoming David Moyes.
He returned to Selhurst Park after failing to make the desired impact at the Theatre of Dreams, and it appears that move did the player the world of good - he enjoyed his best season to date in 2016/17.
Zaha was not having a fun time of things on the pitch in pre-season either, as new boss Frank de Boer expressed his unhappiness at the way West Brom players targeted the trickster in the Eagles' 2-0 win in Hong Kong.
