The former England international has been parodied by a Twitter account called 'Boring James Milner', a page that frequently mocks Milner for his supposedly dull characteristics, even though he is probably just the same as any other normal professional footballer.

​​It seems as if not much can make Milner laugh, but that's actually as far away from the actual truth as could be, as a video was uploaded through Liverpool's online mediums showing the squad trying to make the ex-Leeds man split his sides.

Daniel Sturridge and Nathaniel Clyne come out of the experiment looking like a pair of jokers, while Simon Mignolet's boisterous attempt certainly got a lot of the Reds players rolling around laughing.

​​Liverpool certainly have plenty of reasons to be cheerful, with the side currently unbeaten during their pre-season fixtures, beating Tranmere Rovers, Crystal Palace and Leicester and drawing against Wigan.

Their next match is against Hertha Berlin before Jurgen Klopp's side round off their preparations with games against Bayern Munich and Athletic Bilbao.
