Man City Stopper Ederson Talks of His Own Style of Goalkeeping: 'I Have No Fear of Anything'
Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has spoken of his fearless approach to the game, after once again putting his body on the line for his club during their 3-0 Premier League victory over Burnley.
The Brazilian international hurled himself at the feet of Clarets striker Chris Wood during the game, bravely denying the New Zealand international a potential goal.
Speaking of his courageous approach to the game, via ESPN, the 24-year-old explained his gutsy approach to goalkeeping, stating:
"It's the way I play -- if I have to put my hand, my head, my foot there to help the team that's what I'm going to do.
"It's part of the game, those situations in the box. But nothing serious happened. I have always played the same way. I have no fear of anything.
Ederson has made a solid start in proving he was worth his £35m fee that saw him join from Portuguese side Benfica in the summer.
The combative style of keeping has seen him in the wars on more than one occasion this season and required eight stitches in his head after colliding with Liverpool's Sadio Mané in City's 5-0 victory of the Reds in September.
Manchester City have made an all-guns-blazing start to the 2017/18 Premier League season, and currently sit five points clear at the top of the table, having won eight games out of nine.
Having scored 32 goals and conceded just four, Pep Guardiola's side are looking like they could romp away with the league title as they leave their rivals trailing in their dust.
