According to reports in Spain, Wales star Gareth Bale is nearing the exit door at Real Madrid after the Spanish Champions have become increasingly frustrated with his injury problems.

The 28-year-old winger suffered yet another injury setback last week, incurring a hamstring tear that is set to keep him out of action for the rest of the calendar year.

Of Real Madrid's last 60 matches, Bale has been available for just 20 of them, and with the recovery from a fresh injury on the cards, Los Blancos are looking to be growing increasingly impatient with the Welshman, as reported by Spanish publication, as.

Bale joined Real Madrid in 2013 for a fee of £85m, becoming their most expensive signing ever, ahead of the £80m they spent on Cristiano Ronaldo four years prior.

However, unlike his teammate Ronaldo, Bale has failed to live up to his mammoth price tag by virtue of missing over 35% of Real Madrid's games since joining, spending over eight months out of action since the start of the 2015/16 season.

While Bale has been performing when he is fully fit, he simply isn't fit enough to meet the high demands that are part and parcel of being a Real Marid player.

Should Madrid opt to offload Bale, it is suggested that his preferred destination would be Manchester United, with the Red Devils allegedly very keen on bringing the former Tottenham Hotspur player to Old Trafford.

The departure of Gareth Bale would leave room in the Madrid squad for a new Galactico, with prominent rumours linking them to Paris Saint-Germain duo, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
