Manchester City Talent Leroy Sane Wins October Premier League Player of the Month
Manchester City starlet Leroy Sane has been named Premier League Player of the Month for October, the first such award the young German has received since joining City in 2016.
Sane played a crucial role in City's 100% winning record in October as the team claimed nine points from nine in their three games, extended their streak of consecutive Premier League victories and opened up a significant lead at the top of the table.
The 21-year-old scored three goals and provided three further assists during the month, having a direct hand in nearly half (46%) of all 13 goals the team scored as a whole.
Sane's personal goal tally for the season is now six in 11 games, and eight in all competitions.
He is the first City player to be named Premier League Player of the Month since close friend Raheem Sterling scooped the prize in August of last season.
City boss Pep Guardiola has also won the October Manager of the Month award.
Eight points clear, City will resume their title charge with an away trip to Leicester this weekend after kicking off November with a 3-1 win against Arsenal.
