Sargent is one of the USMNT's brightest prospects, as he has been developing well under Werder Bremen head coach Florian Kohfeldt.
Prior to the game, Kohfeldt discussed Sargent's potential and asked more consistency in order to elevate to the next level. "Josh has to work on performing to a high level on a consistent basis," he said. "He needs to be more effective in games. That means not just having one, two or three good moments in a game, but ideally seven to 10."
Werder Bremen came away with a point after Hertha tied the game in the second half.
