Seattle Sounders Hold MLS Championship Parade After Franchise's Second Title
The Sounders have appeared in the MLS Cup in three of the last four seasons
The Sounders held their championship parade through the streets of Seattle on Tuesday after winning the franchise's second MLS Cup.
Seattle defeated Toronto FC in the MLS Cup on Nov. 10 at Century Link Field in Seattle. The two teams were tied 0-0 at the half, but a trio of unanswered goals gave Seattle a lead it would not relinquish en route to the franchise's second MLS Cup title.
The Sounders have appeared in the MLS Cup in three of the last four seasons. They defeated Toronto FC for the franchise's first championship in 2016, but the Canadian squad got its revenge in the 2017 MLS Cup.
Seattle is now the seventh team with multiple MLS Cups. Only D.C. United and LA Galaxy have won more since the league was established in 1996 .
