USMNT Starting XI: Christian Pulisic Will Start vs. Netherlands

Here’s the full starting XI for the U.S. in Saturday’s round of 16 match against the Netherlands

As reported on Friday, United States men’s national team winger Christian Pulisic has been cleared to play and will start in Saturday’s round of 16 match against the Netherlands.

Pulisic, who suffered a pelvic contusion while scoring the decisive goal in the 1–0 victory over Iran on Tuesday, was officially listed as day-to-day with the injury and was limited in training for most of the week.

The other major change for Gregg Berhalter’s squad comes up top where Jesús Ferreira will start in place of Josh Sargent, who is unavailable Saturday after suffering an ankle injury in Tuesday’s win. Ferreira, 21, will be making his World Cup debut.

Walker Zimmerman, who started the first two group games for the U.S., will return to his starting spot in place of Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Here’s a look at Berhalter’s full starting lineup as the United States looks to advance to the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time since 2002.
