Danny Batth, Amad Diallo, and Jack Clarke scoop Sunderland fan awards
Danny Batth, Amad Diallo and Jack Clarke all collected their awards at the Sunderland supporters' annual awards night this week.
Batth was awarded the Supporters' Player of the Year award for his performances this season.
Batth has played 42 times for Sunderland this season and has helped the club to keep 13 clean sheets.
The imposing defender played 90 minutes in all 13 of Sunderland's clean sheets this season before picking up a season-ending injury against Huddersfield Town earlier this month.
Batth was chosen for the award ahead of fellow defender Luke O'Nien and winger Patrick Roberts.
Diallo was awarded the Supporters' Young Player of the Year award. The young forward has been in sensational form whilst on loan at the club from Manchester United.
Diallo has played 38 times this season and scored 12 goals, registering four assists.
The Ivory Coast international beat out teammates Clarke and Dan Neil for the award.
Clarke was awarded the David Dent Goal of the Season award for his finish against Reading back in September.
Despite Clarke winning the accolade, it was the superb team build-up that made it such a special goal.
The build-up play started from Anthony Patterson's box and was finished by Clarke in the opposing penalty area but not before eight Sunderland players were involved in the goal.
The goal won the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month for September but was surprisingly missed off the shortlist for EFL Goal of the Season.
