French World Cup winner reveals he 'especially' likes to watch Sunderland
French World Cup winner Ousmane Dembele says the club he ‘especially’ likes to watch is Sunderland.
The Paris Saint-Germain star is a good friend of Sunderland owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, and he watched the game against Sheffield United last season from the Stadium of Light director’s box.
Now, he has revealed that his interest in Sunderland has grown and they one of the clubs he watches most often, even preferring it to Premier League clubs.

Speaking to Le Parisien, Dembele said: “I watch practically all the championships: France, Spain, Italy, England, Germany.
“Even the English D2, especially Sunderland because I know the owner, Kyril Louis-Dreyfus.
“There are days I watch the English championship at 1 pm, and at 9 pm I switch to Spain.”
The friendship between Louis-Dreyfus and Dembele seems to go back a long way, and they have shared holidays in Florida before, documenting it on their Instagram accounts.
Dembele also used Instagram to send a public congratulations of the Sunderland owner after they were promoted back to the Championship in 2022.
