How to watch Sunderland vs Stoke City
Sunderland welcome - and I use that term in the loosest possible sense - Alex Neil back to the Stadium of Light this weekend as they host Stoke City.
Neil walked out on Sunderland earlier in the season to take over at the Potters, and he will be expecting a hostile reception this weekend.
Tony Mowbray, meanwhile, will be keen for that to not become a sideshow. His side need a win after back-to-back defeats.
Here is all you need to know about how to watch it if you can't get to the Stadium of Light in person.
When: Saturday 4 March, 3pm GMT/10am EST/7am PST
Where: Stadium of Light, Sunderland
Referee: Jeremy Simpson
How to watch Sunderland vs Stoke City in the UK
- SAFC Live (with VPN)
- Stoke City+ (with VPN)
As usual, it is a lot harder to watch your team play if you are in the UK than if you are anywhere else. There are calls for the EFL to sort that out and we endorse them fully. It's an outdated and frankly silly way to approach things.
The game will be streamed live on SAFC Live, although you will need a streaming pass and a VPN to access it.
Stoke City+ is another option but the same restrictions apply and you'll need a log-in - and your money will go to the Potters instead of Sunderland, so very little to like about that, right?
How to watch Sunderland vs Stoke City in the US
- SAFC Live (all international viewers)
- Stoke City+
The game hasn't been selected by an EFL broadcast partner in the US there will be no blackout restrictions on the Sunderland game this weekend.
If you're interested, the international broadcasters have picked Blackpool vs Burnley, and it is that the game that will be live on ESPN+.
Anyway, the upshot is that International viewers can therefore watch the game as usual via SAFC Live.
