Jack Clarke: 'I enjoy every minute of playing for Sunderland'
Jack Clarke says he ‘enjoys every minute of playing for Sunderland’ after he helped the Black Cats to a 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough.
Clarke was again Sunderland’s stand-out player, setting up Nazariy Rusyn to equalise, creating another huge chance for Abdoullah Ba and taking home yet another man of the match award.
It comes after a month when he was linked with other clubs, with Italian giants Lazio tabling an €16million offer late in January.
He, though, says all the speculation over his future doesn’t bother him and he is loving being at Sunderland for however long it lasts.
Asked about the speculation linked him with a move away last month, Clarke told Sky Sports: "I am happy to be here.
"I enjoy every minute of playing for Sunderland and pulling on the shirt. For me, the stuff that gets said on the outside doesn't seem to bother me.
“As long as I'm coming in everyday wearing a Sunderland shirt, I'm happy."
