Sunderland's striker woes are well-documented, but Good Friday opponents Hull have problems of their own too.

Two Hull strikers will miss out on Friday when Sunderland take on the Tigers in the Sky Bet Championship.

Top scorer Óscar Estupiñán and Brighton and Hove Albion loanee Aaron Connolly will both miss the match at the Stadium of Light due to injuries.

Connolly, who has played five games and scored two for the Tigers, joined on loan from Brighton in January but has missed the last eight games after suffering a broken toe in a 0-0 draw against Stoke City on February 11.

The other absentee on Friday will be Hull top scorer Estupiñán. The Colombian international has scored 13 goals so far this season but is currently dealing with an ankle injury which kept him out of Hull's 0-0 draw with Rotherham last weekend.

In the reverse fixture Estupiñán missed a penalty for Hull in the 49th minute, putting the ball wide of Anthony Patterson's left-hand post.

In the absence of Connolly and Estupiñán, Hull will have to rely on goals elsewhere with their next top scorer being central midfielder Ozan Tufan with five goals; one of which came in the return fixture against Sunderland.

Sunderland are unbeaten at home in their last three league meetings with Hull. Aiden McGeady was on the scoresheet the last times the clubs met at the Stadium of Light with the game ending in a 1-1 draw.
