Sivasspor have made an ‘official offer’ for Sunderland midfielder Alex Pritchard, according to reports in Türkiye.
Pritchard is out of contract in the summer and there appears to have been no talks yet to extend that deal, meaning he is free to talk to foreign clubs this month.
Sivasspor have reportedly made their move, and MLS side Colorado Rapids may well follow them.
The Turkish side have made an ‘official offer’ for Pritchard, which would likely be a pre-contract for a summer move, according to Ertan Suzgun, who is a journalist for Sports Digitale.
Pritchard is a very popular player at Sunderland. Fans appreciate him and both head coaches this season, Tony Mowbray and Michael Beale, have spoken of his importance to the squad.
However, Mowbray also warned fans last summer that the former Tottenham man could be leaving the club, and suggested there was a lot more to it than just a football decision.
“I don’t want to get too prescriptive about it, but it looks like Pritch is going to leave the football club,” Mowbray said in August. “We have to move past that, we have to move on – that’s football.
“Alex’s situation is a little bit more complicated than I can discuss openly.”
