United States women’s national team star Rose Lavelle is headed overseas after a busy day of transactions. OL Reign acquired the midfielder's rights from the Washington Spirit Sunday in exchange for a draft pick, allocation money and the potential for more in the trade. Shortly after that announcement, though, the Athletic reported that Lavelle will play for Manchester City in the FA Women's Super League, where she will join fellow U.S. national team midfielder and 2019 World Cup champion Sam Mewis.
