With an almost flawless performance, Andy Roddick ended a streak of 11 consecutive losses against nemesis Roger Federer in the quarterfinals of the Sony Ericsson Open

Federer is off to his worst start since 2000. He hasn't reached a tournament final this season.

A poised Roddick willed himself to the victory, ending a streak of 11 consecutive losses against his rival.

Roddick's entire repertoire was on display as he advanced to the semifinals of the Sony Ericsson Open.

Coming into the match, Roddick appeared destined to win. Said Roddick, "I came in knowing that nobody has beaten me 12 times in a row...So I had that on my side."

Roddick used his dominating serve to take advantage of Federer, who seemed just a half-step too slow.

Roddick raised his fists in celebration.

Since his engagement to SI swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker, Roddick is 1-0 against Federer.
