Maria Sharapova didn't wait very long to hit the practice courts after landing in Brisbane, Australia on Christmas morning. The WTA No. 4 fit in two practice sessions at Pat Rafter Arena as new coach Sven Groeneveld looked on.
Sharapova reportedly hit for 90 minutes before ceding the court to her boyfriend, last year's Brisbane International finalist Grigor Dimitrov, for his own practice session. She then retook the court for a two-hour session, which is encouraging given her shoulder woes; however, it's unclear how much serving practice she took in.
