INDIAN WELLS, Calif. -- The colors on the court have been as bright as the desert sun over the last two weeks as a number of players have debuted their new spring kits at the BNP Paribas Open.

The most striking thing about the color schemes is just how different they look in person as opposed to on television or in photographs. The neon colors sported by the likes of Roger Federer and Jelena Jankovic pop really nicely on court, while the robin's egg color scheme Nike has employed is a constant reminder that Easter is right around the corner.

Here's the best and worst of what we've seen at Indian Wells.

Hits

Maria Sharapova

Maria Sharapova: We saw it for only two matches, but Sharapova's light blue number was clean and fresh. The water pattern on her skirt was a nice accent. Even Serena Williams approved. (Mark J. Terrill/AP)

Roger Federer

Roger Federer: The iron purple (thanks for the color name, Nike) and white kit would have been boring if not for Federer's bright orange kicks, which livened up the whole look. (Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)

Jelena Jankovic

Eugenie Bouchard

Eugenie Bouchard: We are happy to report that Bouchard has moved on from the ill-fitting grey skirt that she wore at the Australian Open. (Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)

Misses

Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal: This might have worked if the orange were brighter, but instead, it looked like a washed-out salmon orange. Rafa as a piece of sushi just isn't a good look. (Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)

Camila Giorgi

Aga Radwanska

Agnieszka Radwanska: It's subtle, but Lotto's new dress has a bubble skirt that makes the dress look very heavy. It actually looks like it's weighing Radwanska down. (Joe Klamar/AFP/Getty Images)
