Photos: French Open fashion misses
PARIS -- Sacre bleu! There have been some polarizing fashion choices at this year's French Open. Everyone is talking about Tomas Berdych and Agnieszka Radwanska's flower power, but some of the game's most reliable fashionistas, like Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova, came out with some odd and underwhelming choices.
Here are my fashion misses from Roland Garros. (Click here for our fashion hits.)
Tomas Berdych: This shirt the most controversial since Dominic Hrbaty's faux pas at the 2006 Australian Open. Like it or not we're all talking about it. So here's my problem with it: I love a good Hawaiian shirt as much as the next ukulele busker, but what is up with the two white stripes across the front? (Clive Brunskill/Getty Images)
Agnieszka Radwanska: Great for a Sunday tea party, bad for the tennis court. (Matthais Hangst/Getty Images)
Roger Federer: This outfit was far too casual for Paris. The lack of a collar and the colorblock sleeves are so collegiate. (Darko Vojinovic/AP)
Serena Williams: I loved the color and the overall idea, but the bottom of the dress was -- much like in New York -- way too loose. It actually seemed to distract Serena as she was trying to serve. Form has to follow function. (Clive Brunskill/Getty Images)
Svetlana Kuznetsova: Would it worry you if I told you this wasn't even the worst thing Kuznetsova's sponsor has ever put her in? (KENZO TRIBOUILLARD/AFP/Getty Images)
Andrey Golubev: Nope. (Clive Brunskill/Getty Images)
Gael Monfils: I intend to protest until he brings the sleeveless shirts back. (Clive Brunskill/Getty Images)
Caroline Wozniacki: The Stella McCartney dress really isn't that bad but... do my eyes deceive me or did Stella put her in the colors of the Irish flag? Awkward. (Matthew Stockman/Getty Images)
Jelena Jankovic: Specially designed by Tommy Hilfiger's sister Ginny, the French-inspired navy blue and white is great in theory but a little too on the nose in practice. The solid blue through the middle wasn't particularly flattering. It actually looked better in the early rounds when Jankovic was forced to wear a white long-sleeved shirt over the top to stay warm. Maria Sharapova: Take a cute pink dress combined with a traffic cone, and that's what Sharapova's wearing this year. I'm just not feeling that stripe across the chest. (Matthew Stockman, Clive Brunskill/Getty Images)
Lleyton Hewitt:
