NEW YORK -- Roger Federer has looked sharp through the first two rounds at the U.S. Open, from his game right down to his fancy Nike Air Jordan kicks. In what was a potentially tricky match on Friday night against big-serving Aussie Sam Groth, Federer was sublime. He picked apart Groth's serve and volley game for a 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 win. And it was all highlighted by this vintage Federer shot: a sliding backhand lob winner that he punctuated with a little finger wag celebration. The old man liked it.
