The Watch List spotlights the must-know storylines for the upcoming week in tennis. This week, Caroline Wozniacki is the top seed at the Malaysia Open, Ana Ivanovic headlines the Monterrey Open and some of the ATP's top players are in action for first round Davis Cup ties this weekend.

Malaysia Open

[Complete draw]

No. 5 Caroline Wozniacki tops the field in Kuala Lumpur, a WTA International-level tournament. Despite her strong 2014 finish, where she reached the U.S. Open final and pushed Serena Williams hard at the WTA Finals, Wozniacki is still searching for her first title since July of last year. As the only player in the field ranked in the Top 25, she's the heavy favorite in Kuala Lumpur.

Monterrey Open

[Complete draw]

Like Wozniacki, No. 6 Ana Ivanovic had a strong start to the season—she made the Brisbane International final and lost in three sets to top seed Maria Sharapova—only to stall ever since, taking early losses at the Australian Open and Dubai. She's the top seed and defending champion in Monterrey.

Davis Cup, First Round

USA at Great Britain
France at Germany
Australia at Czech Republic
Italy at Kazakhstan
Brazil at Argentina
Croatia at Serbia
Japan at Canada
Switzerland at Belgium

The first round of Davis Cup kicks off on Friday but the competition has taken a big hit given the number of top players who have opted to skip it. Defending champion Switzerland is without Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka as they face Belgium. The three-time champion Czechs will not have Tomas Berdych. And Croatia won't have U.S. Open champion Marin Cilic

The big tie of the weekend will feature the U.S. vs. Great Britain in Glasgow. Both countries will field their top teams, with Andy Murray suiting up on home soil and the U.S. sending John Isner and Donald Young, after he earned a surprise nomination following his strong February performance.

Come back for a full preview of the weekend's action when the draws come out on Thursday.
