Top-ranked women’s tennis player Serena Williams will need a new hitting partner for the first time in eight years, as a Twitter exchange between Sascha Bajin and Williams seemed to indicate that he will no longer serve in that position.

The tweets indicate that he may begin working with former World No. 1 and current No. 48 Victoria Azarenka.

Bajin was not with Williams during her run at the Australia Open in January, as he was reportedly dealing with a back injury. Williams went on to capture her sixth Australian Open title and 19th Grand Slam overall.

Williams had called Bajin the “most important person” on her team outside of her parents.

In Australia, Williams ended up using former pro Jonathan Dasnieres de Veigy, who was a practice partner for Novak Djokovic, during the tournament.
